I grew up on a farm in South Africa and have always felt a deep connection to the life force in nature. I inherited this love of the land from my father, a farmer who was a storyteller at heart. He loved inventing imaginative tales of wild characters and crazy creatures that had my siblings and me spellbound. He ignited my passion for stories at an early age, which I took with me into my career producing television shows, documentaries and brand content for entertainment channels.

I developed the Rolling River Adventure Series for young adults to honour my father’s memory and the breathtaking lands I once called home. Through these stories, I want young readers to connect with the abundant beauty of our planet and be encouraged to see all people as equal, and all of us reliant on the generosity of Earth.
